The final version performed as designed. The customer has since ordered 70 sets for the Porsche 911 and the Boxster for sale to the public.

Flat cover that was easy to bend, secured to the base via four mounting points (one in each corner) that were difficult to align.

3rd iteration, cover edges were bent with a 1" flange, greatly increasing the strength. The four fasteners were replaced by a top locating pin and a single side fastener for easy single handed installation.
